Macedonian 2017 Assumption Public Holiday

Macedonia's Ministry of Labour and Social Policy has announced that Monday, August 28, 2017, would be a non-working public holiday for Orthodox faithful in Macedonia on account of the upcoming Assumption of the Mother of God annual sectorial non-working public holiday of Macedonia.

The above announcement that Monday, August 28, 2017, would be a non-working public holiday for Orthodox faithful in Macedonia on account of the upcoming Assumption of the Mother of God annual sectorial non-working public holiday of Macedonia, as was the case on previous occasions (2017-01-15, 2016-01-15 and 2014-01-14), is in line with the Macedonian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy's official list of 2017 public holidays in Macedonia, as published last autumn (2016-10-22), and, more generally with the Law on Holidays of the Republic of Macedonia (Official Gazette, and Br.21/98 7.18) as last amended in 2007 (2007-02-08).
