The Deputy Chief Minister of the state Government of Malaysia's state of Sarawak, Abang Johari Tun Openg, has announced that following today's passing away of Sarawak Chief Minister, Adenan Satem, a one-off non-working public holiday had been declared in Malaysia's state of Sarawak on Thursday, January 12, 2017.
The aforementioned declaration of a one-off non-working public holiday in Malaysia's state of Sarawak on Thursday, January 12, 2017, thus amends the list of State Public Holiday Schedule 2017 containing the list of official state-specific regional non-working public holidays in Malaysia for the calendar year 2017, as released by Malaysia's Cabinet's and the Constitution and Government Relations Department of the Prime Minister's Office, last summer (2016-07-22).
