The Minister of Interior of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Abdulrahman Dambazau, in a statement earlier today by the Director, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Muhammadu Maccido, has announced that the Nigerian Federal Government had declared Monday, May 1st, 2017, as a non-working public holiday in Nigeria.
As was the case in past years (2016-04-29, 2015-04-28, 2014-04-29, 2013-04-27 and 2012-04-27), the aforementioned declaration of Monday, May 1st, 2017, as a non-working public holiday in Nigeria corresponds to the upcoming annual public holiday for Workers' Day.
