Pakistan 2017 Eid-ul-Fitr Bank Holidays

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that the State Bank of Pakistan and the commercial banks of Pakistan would observe their annual Eid-ul-Fitr bank holidays from June 26-28, 2017, meaning that, in conjunction with the subsequent weekend, banks in Pakistan will remain closed from June 24-28, 2017.

The details of the aforementioned announcement, contained in a BPRD Circular Letter No. 19 of 2017, which as per custom (2017-05-26, 2016-12-27, 2016-10-10, 2016-07-01, 2016-06-29, 2016-06-01, 2015-08-11, 2015-06-29, 2014-12-30, 2014-06-27, 2013-12-30, 2013-10-12, 2013-08-13, 2013-07-10, 2013-06-28, 2013-04-29, 2013-02-02, 2013-01-23, 2012-12-31, 2012-11-06, 2012-07-18 and 2012-06-25), goes on to state that the aforementioned announcement states that all banks/DFIs/MFBs will remain closed for public dealings on that date, is in line with last week's announcement by the Pakistani Interior Minister (No. 2/4/2016) that the upcoming 2017 Eid-ul-Fitr public holidays in Pakistan, would be extended to run from June 26-28, 2017 (2017-06-07).
