The Peruvian government has issued the "Decreto Supremo Nº 113-2017-PCM", which declares 2 non-working public holidays, on Friday and Saturday, January 19-20, 2018, on account the visit of Pope Francis in the cities of Puerto Maldonado and of Trujillo.
As per the aforementioned "Decreto Supremo Nº 113-2017-PCM", Friday, January 19, 2018, will be a non-working public holiday for both the public and private sectors in the Peruvian ciudad de Puerto Maldonado, while Saturday, January 20, 2018, will be a non-working public holiday for both the public and private sectors in the Peruvian ciudad de Trujillo ("Decláranse días no laborables sujetos a compensación, para los trabajadores de los sectores público y privado de la ciudad de Puerto Maldonado el día 19 de enero de 2018, y de la ciudad de Trujillo el día 20 de enero de 2018").
