The Labor Minister of the Romanian Government, Lia Olguţa Vasilescu, has issues a statement, on the facebook page of her ministry, ruling-out any extension of the upcoming December 25 and 26 public holidays in Romania ("27, 28 and 29 December will not be free days").

The aforementioned declaration of December 27-28-29, 2017, as one-off bridge public holidays in Romania, if it had come to pass, would have amended the lists of public holidays for 2017 in Romania (2016-12-01), once more (2017-07-21, 2017-05-16 and 2017-01-17), though only for the Romanian public sector.
