The Labor Minister of the Romanian Government, Lia Olguta Vasilescu, has issues a statement, on the facebook page of her ministry, ruling-out any extension of the upcoming December 25 and 26 public holidays in Romania ("27, 28 and 29 December will not be free days").

The aforementioned declaration of December 27-28-29, 2017, as one-off bridge public holidays in Romania, if it had come to pass, would have amended the lists of public holidays for 2017 in Romania (01-Dec-2016), once more (21-Jul-2017, 16-May-2017 and 17-Jan-2017), though only for the Romanian public sector.
