The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has signed the resolution "On shifting day-off from Saturday, 18 March, to Monday, 20 March 2017" which declares Monday, March 20, 2017, as a one-off non-working public holiday in Uzbekistan, in connection with the celebration of the 2017 Navruz non-working public holiday of Uzbekistan.

As usually happens in similar cases when the government of Uzbekistan declares one-off non-working public holidays in Uzbekistan (2016-08-26, 2016-02-12, 2015-11-21, 2015-08-27, 2012-03-20, 2011-12-27, 2011-08-25, 2011-03-01, 2009-11-25, 2008-12-25, 2007-12-25, 2006-05-01, 2005-12-28 and 2005-12-05), though not always (2016-12-29 and 2014-12-26), the aforementioned non-working public holiday in Uzbekistan on Monday, March 20, 2017, is to be compensated by declaring Saturday, March 18, 2017, as a regular working day in Uzbekistan.
