Venezuela's president, Nicolás Maduro, has issued a decree declaring Wednesday, February 1, 2017, as one-off non-working public holiday to commemorate the bicentennial of the birth of general Ezequiel Zamora.
The aforementioned declaration of Wednesday, February 1, 2017, as one-off non-working public holiday to commemorate the bicentennial of the birth of general Ezequiel Zamora is to be a one-off non-working public holiday in Venezuela ("decretó el próximo miércoles 1° de febrero como día feriado no laborable, con el fin de que la población pueda asistir a las actividades conmemorativas al bicentenario del natalicio del general Ezequiel Zamora"), thus amending the official list of the dates for the 2017 public holidays and banking holidays in Venezuela as announced late last year by the Sudeban (2016-06-19) in conformity with the "Ley de Reforma Parcial de la Ley de Instituciones del Sector Bancario".
