Bangladesh's government has announced that it had declared Sunday, December 30, 2018, as an additional one-off non-working public holidays in Bangladesh for the upcoming eleventh parliamentary elections.

The aforementioned announcement that Bangladesh's government had declared Sunday, December 30, 2018, as an additional one-off non-working public holidays in Bangladesh for the upcoming eleventh parliamentary elections, is another rebuke to position of Bangladesh's Election Commissioner Abu Hafiz, who had issued a note against future polling/election days being declared one-off non-working public holidays in Bangladesh (2015-06-16).

The aforementioned announcement of Sunday, December 30, 2018, as an additional one-off non-working public holidays in Bangladesh thus amends the announced in the list of non-working public holidays in Bangladesh in 2018, which was released last fall (2018-01-06 and 2017-11-06) by the Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
