The government of Barbados has finally published its annual list of official non-working public holidays in Barbados for the calendar year 2019.
As was the case for the announcement of the official list of previous years' Barbados official public holidays (2017-01-21, 2016-01-16, 2015-01-14, 2013-02-06, 2012-04-30, 2011-09-04, 2010-09-24, 2010-02-12 and 2009-04-16), the aforementioned announcement of the official list of non-working public holidays in Barbados for the calendar year 2019 ("The following Public Holidays will be observed in Barbados for the year 2019"), implements the Barbados-specific day in lieu rules for sequential public holidays that fall on a weekend, such as occurs in early August and around Christmas.
