The Minister of the Economy of Belarus, Dmitry Krutoy, has announced the annual list of official non-working public holidays in Belarus for the calendar year 2019.
As was the case some years (2017-10-30 and 2015-11-13) but not all (2016-11-10), the government of Belarus is first making a preliminary announcement that it had finalized its annual list of official public holidays in Belarus for the upcoming calendar year 2019, before announcing one-off bridge and day in lieu public holidays in Belarus for 2019, though Belarus' Minister of the Economy, Dmitry Krutoy, is reported to have said that the government would consider the possibility of announcing a "weekend week from May 6 to 12 in 2019".
We expect that the soon to be released resolution confirming the aforementioned announcement of the annual list of official public holidays in Belarus for the upcoming calendar year 2019, will, for the 7th consecutive year (2017-11-30, 2016-11-10, 2015-11-25, 2014-11-12, 2013-12-02 and 2012-12-01), list one-off bridge and day in lieu public holidays in Belarus for 2019, before the beginning of the year, rather than on a case-by-case basis as was the case in previous years (2012-06-03, 2012-04-09, 2012-03-01, and 2011-12-29), though last-minute changes are always possible (2014-12-17).
