Bolivia's Minister of Labour, Héctor Hinojosa, has confirmed that the Government of Bolivia had declared Tuesday, May 1, 2018, as a non-working public holiday in Bolivia on account of the annual, May 1, non-working public holiday of Bolivia, but that Monday, April 30, 2018, would remain a working day in Bolivia ("El feriado es el primero de mayo, de acuerdo a la normativa de feriados que ha sido determinado por el Gobierno y no hay posibilidad de mover ese feriado.").
The annual, May 1st, non-working public holiday of Bolivia has often been the source of an additional day in lieu public holiday in Bolivia when it fell on a Sunday (2016-04-28 and 2011-04-15), and also in some cases Saturday (2004-04-29), though not in recent years (2010-04-27) since the passage of the "decreto 2750 de mayo de 2016", while some bridge holidays were declared on (2012-04-28) and off (2014-04-13 and 2014-04-09).
