The aforementioned decree that Monday, December 31, 2018, had been declared an additional one-off non-working public holiday throughout the Republic of the Congo is similar to previous year-end and other one-off public holidays which were declared in the past (2014-12-23, 2014-05-28, 2012-12-22, 2012-04-20, 2011-12-29, and 2010-08-12), though less frequently in recent years (2015-01-05).
