Honduras' Secretaria de Gobernación, Justicia y Descentralización has issued a communique declaring tomorrow, Monday, July 23, 2018, as another one-off non-working public holiday for the Honduran public sector, due to the escalation of the current transportation strike in Honduras.

The aforementioned announcement that Monday, July 23, 2018, had been declared as another one-off non-working public holiday for the Honduran public sector, follows the declaration, earlier this week (2018-07-19), that Friday, July 20, 2018, had been declared as a one-off non-working public holiday for the Honduran public sector, due to the second day of the current transportation strike ("Como consecuencia de los actos vandálicos que se suscitaron el jueves 19 de julio y esperando se normalice la convivencia ciudadana, se concede asueto este viernes a todos los funcionarios y empleados de la Administración Pública, Centralizada, Descentralizada y Desconcentrada del Estado").

One-off bridge public holidays, though not of this type, are relatively common in Honduras (2018-04-26, 2016-04-29, 2016-04-06, 2015-04-10, 2015-04-08, 2011-04-12, 2010-04-12, 2009-04-14 and 2009-04-03).
