Ireland Mulls January 21 Independence Day

The cabinet of the government of the Republic of Ireland is considering a bill which would designate January 21st as the Declaration of Independence Day.

The aforementioned bill to designate January 21st as the Declaration of Independence Day is part of a long series of bills aimed at adding an observance day or bank holiday to the list of public holidays in the Republic of Ireland (2016-06-10, 2015-10-10 and 2014-09-02).
