The government of the Ivory Coast, through its Ministère de l'Emploi, des Affaires Sociales et de la Solidarité Nationale, has announced that it had declared Tuesday, November 20, 2018, as the date of the annual national non-working public holiday (jour férié et chômé sur toute l'étendue du territoire national) on account of the upcoming Maoulid (the Prophet's Birthday) in the Ivory Coast in 2018.
The aforementioned date of Tuesday, November 20, 2018, as the date of the annual national non-working public holiday ("jour férié, chômé et payé sur toute l'étendue du territoire national") on account of the upcoming Maoulid (the Prophet's Birthday) public holiday of the Ivory Coast seems based on the Umm al-Qora Islamic calendar as used in Saudi Arabia, as in past years (2018-05-29, 2017-06-24, 2016-07-05, 2015-07-16 and 2014-07-27) albeit with some exceptions (2018-06-13 and 2018-06-12).
