Jammu and Kashmir 2018 Public Holidays Amended Again

The Government of India's state of Jammu and Kashmir has issued a Government Order which further amends its annual list of the days which will be non-working public holidays in India's state of Jammu and Kashmir for the upcoming calendar year 2018.

As per the aforementioned announcement ("In partial modification of Government Order No. 1584-GAD of 2017 and Government Order No. 1585-GAD of 2017 dated 14-12- 2017, the holiday on account of Shab-e-Qadr shall be observed on June 12, 2018 (Tuesday) instead of 11th June, 2018 (Monday) in the Government Offices, Educational Institutions and under the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881"), the date of the upcoming 2018 Shab-I-Qadr public holiday in Jammu and Kashmir has been moved to a later date, as was the case last year (2017-06-21), in the "List of holidays for the calendar year-2018 under the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881", contained in the Jammu and Kashmir Government Order 1585 Dt 14/12/2017, with, as per custom (2016-12-11), the "List of holidays for the calendar year-2018", contained in the Jammu and Kashmir Government Order 1584 Dt 14/12/2017, includes a list of Provincial Holidays for Jammu, a list of Provincial Holidays for Kashmir, as well as a list of local district holidays, as was the case in past years (2017-12-15, 2017-06-21, 2017-05-31, 2017-04-22, 2017-06-21, 2017-05-31 and 2017-04-22).
