Labour unions in Kosovo are reported as supporting the initiative, announced by the government of Kosovo, which would cancel many public holidays, including the annual May 1st Labour Day non-working public holiday of Kosovo.
The government cabinet of Kosovo recently announced a revamping of the legislation governing its annual list of official non-working public holidays and bank holidays (2018-02-02, 2017-11-28, 2017-01-09, 2016-01-11, 2016-01-07, 2014-11-28, 2014-01-08 and 2013-01-11), which is currently, the "Official holidays in accordance with Article 2 of Law no. 03 / L-064, for the official holidays in the Republic of Kosovo ").
