Liberian Public Holiday July 31

The President of Liberia, George Weah, has issued a proclamation declaring Tuesday, July 31, 2018, as a non-working public holiday to be observed in Bong and Montserrado counties on account of the by-elections being held in those counties on that date.

The declaration of one-off non-working public holidays in Liberia on account of election-related events has occurred regularly over the past years (22-Dec-2017, 06-Oct-2017, 15-Dec-2014, 23-Apr-2012, 13-Jan-2012, 06-Oct-2011, 09-Aug-2011, 28-Jan-2011, 23-Nov-2009, 09-Nov-2009, 08-Apr-2009, and 07-Oct-2005).
