Liberian Public Holiday November 1st

The President of Liberia, George Manneh Weah, has issued a proclamation declaring Thursday, November 1, 2018, as non-working public holidays to be observed throughout the Republic of Liberia as national non-working public holidays on account of Thanksgiving Day.

The aforementioned Thanksgiving Day public holiday was enacted in 1883 by the National Legislature of the Republic of Liberia as an annual non-working public holiday.

Such last-minute re-confirmation of annual public holidays are a staple of the Liberian public holidays calendar (2018-08-23, 2018-07-29, 2018-03-10, 2017-05-12, 2017-02-09, 2016-08-22, 2016-05-12, 2015-04-09, 2015-03-14, 2014-07-17, 2014-04-10, 2013-04-05, 2013-03-13, 2012-11-27, 2012-10-31, 2012-07-23, 2011-11-01, 2011-04-06, 2010-11-03, 2010-07-23 and 2010-04-08).
