Macedonia's Ministry of Labour and Social Policy has announced that Sunday, January 7th, 2018, would be a non-working public holiday throughout Macedonia "for all citizens of the Republic of Macedonia" on account of the upcoming annual "first day of Christmas by the Orthodox calendar" annual non-working public holiday of Macedonia.

The above announcement that Sunday, January 7th, 2018, would be a non-working public holiday throughout Macedonia, is in line with the Law on Holidays of the Republic of Macedonia (Official Gazette, and Br.21/98 7.18) as last amended in 2007 (08-Feb-2007), and the Macedonian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy's official list of 2018 public holidays in Macedonia, as published last autumn (21-Oct-2017).
