Various umbrella Muslim organizations in Malawi has once again requested that the government of Malawi declare the day after the birth of Holy Prophet Muhammed as a new annual non-working public holiday in Malawi.
Note that, for years, the MAM (Moslems Association of Malawi) has been calling on the Government of Malaei to also declare Eid-ul-Qurban and the day for the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, as official public holidays in Malawi (2007-07-07).
