The Maldives' president-elect, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, has declared tomorrow Sunday, November 18, 2018, as a one-off non-working public holiday in the Maldives, on account of his victory in today's Presidential Election.

This past summer (2018-08-12 and 2018-08-10), former Maldives President, Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, had declared Sunday, September 23, 2018, as a one-off non-working public holiday in the Maldives, on account of the Presidential Elections 2018, as were many past elections in the Maldives (2018-08-12, 2017-05-06, 2013-11-16, 2013-09-05, 2009-04-30, 2008-10-15, 2008-10-12, 2008-10-02, 2008-09-17).
