The Maldives' president-elect, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, has declared tomorrow Sunday, November 18, 2018, as a one-off non-working public holiday in the Maldives, on account of his victory in today's Presidential Election.

This past summer (12-Aug-2018 and 10-Aug-2018), former Maldives President, Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, had declared Sunday, September 23, 2018, as a one-off non-working public holiday in the Maldives, on account of the Presidential Elections 2018, as were many past elections in the Maldives (12-Aug-2018, 06-May-2017, 16-Nov-2013, 05-Sep-2013, 30-Apr-2009, 15-Oct-2008, 12-Oct-2008, 02-Oct-2008, 17-Sep-2008).
