Late last night, after reports of sightings on the Shawwal Moon in many parts of Mali, such as Sokolo, the government of Mali has decided to move the date of the 2018 "Eid ul Fitr" (End of Ramadan) public holiday of Mali from June 15 to June 14, 2018.
Earlier this week (2018-06-12), Mali's Labour Minister (Ministre du travail de la fonction publique de la reforme de l’état chargé des relations avec les institutions), Diarra Raky Tala, had announced that Friday, June 15, 2018, would be a non-working public holiday in Mali, on account of the upcoming "Eid ul Fitr" (End of Ramadan) and in line with the list of 2018 public holidays in the Mali, as announced earlier this year (2018-01-05).
