Russian 2019 Public Holidays Closure August 3

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation has announced that the public debate on its recently-released "Government Resolution On The Transfer Of Public Holidays in 2019", draft list of official public holidays and bridge holidays in Russia for the upcoming calendar year 2019, would end on August 3, 2018.

Last week (2018-07-21), the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation had released its annual "Government Resolution On The Transfer Of Public Holidays in 2019", which, as usual, proposes, for online comments by the population, a draft list of official public holidays and bridge holidays in Russia for the upcoming calendar year 2019.

As per that, as yet unnumbered and undated, "Government Resolution On The Transfer Of Public Holidays in 2019", and as was done in previous years (2017-10-18, 2017-09-14, 2017-05-14, 2017-03-17, 2016-08-04, 2015-09-26, 2015-06-19, 2014-08-30, 2014-05-23, 2013-06-03, 2012-10-17, 2012-09-29, 2011-07-21, 2010-08-24, 2009-11-10, 2008-11-28, 2007-08-11, 2007-01-06, 2006-11-11, and 2005-12-28), whenever a fixed-date annual public holiday falls on a Tuesday or Thursday, the preceding Monday or Friday is usually declared a one-off bridge public holiday, to be compensated by declaring a nearby Saturday to be a regular working day.
