Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has formally approved the list of the official non-working public holidays in 2018 in the Ukraine, including the transfer of 5 bridge working days to a nearby weekend.
Today's announcement of the list of the official non-working public holidays in 2018 in the Ukraine, and the transfer of 5 working days to a weekend, thus officializes the list of 2018 public holidays in the Ukraine which had been announced as a draft resolution for the Cabinet of Ministers of the Ukraine, last November (2017-11-21), by Ukraine's Ministry of Social Policy, specifying the annual official list of 2018 non-working public holidays in the Ukraine, and a draft decision to postpone some working days to a nearby Saturday in 2018, in order to create favorable conditions for the rational use of working time, as was done in the past (2016-11-15, 2016-08-17, 2015-11-12, 2014-11-17, 2014-11-13, 2013-11-21, 2012-05-30, 2012-04-23, 2012-03-01, 2011-06-20, 2011-02-24, 2010-08-13, 2008-12-10, 2007-11-29, and 2005-12-23), when a series of additional one-off bridge public holidays were compensated by corresponding working Saturdays.
That initial draft announcement of the official list of 2018 non-working public holidays in the Ukraine, however, did not include the consequences of the December 25 public holiday in the Ukraine bill 5496, voted and sent to the Ukrainian President for ratification (2017-11-16 and 2017-03-28), the week before, and then signed by Ukrainian President, Petro Poroshenko (2017-11-29), thus changing the list of official annual non-working public holidays in the Ukraine (Article 73 of the Labour Code of the Ukraine).
That initial draft announcement of the official list of 2018 non-working public holidays in the Ukraine was therefore amended by Ukraine's Ministry of Social Policy, a month ago (2017-12-08).
