Bhutanese 2020-2021 Public Holidays Announced

The Royal Civil Service Commission of the Government of Bhutan has released its annual official list of national and regional non-working public holidays in Bhutan for the upcoming calendar year 2020, and for 2021 until the Losar Lunar New Year public holiday of Bhutan, comprising the entire Year of the Male Iron Mouse.

The announced list of 2020-2021 public holidays in Bhutan confirms, again (2018-10-15, 2017-11-05, 2016-10-28, 2015-10-01, 2014-10-24, 2013-11-15, 2012-10-12, 2012-01-04, 2010-11-05 and 2010-01-13), the re-instatement of the Thrue Bab (Blessed Rainy Day) national public holiday (2009-09-16) that had been canceled a decade ago (2007-01-03).

The aforementioned list of 2020-2021 public holidays in Bhutan confirms the move of the March 20 Gross National Happiness non-working public holiday throughout Bhutan in observance of the United Nations' International Day of Happiness, from it original date of March 20, although it does not mention it on November 11, the date of the Anniversary of the 4th Druk Gyalpo (2014-01-30, 2013-03-15 and 2012-07-06), to which it was to be adjoined.
