Bolivian Public Holidays June 21-22

Bolivia's Minister of Labour has issued a communiqué which confirms that the upcoming Corpus Christi and Año Nuevo Aimara annual non-working public holidays of Bolivia would be observed on Thursday and Friday, June 21 and 22, 2019, in all sectors of the Bolivian economy.

As per the aforementioned announcement ("este feriado se dispuso mediante el Decreto Supremo No. 2750 de 1 de mayo de 2016; que declaró además, la suspensión de actividades públicas y privadas en todo el territorio del Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia"), is in line with the "Decreto Supremo 2750 del 1 de mayo de 2016".

The Aymara New Year (Día del Año Nuevo Andino Amazónico), which became a non-working public holiday in Bolivia, a decade ago (2009-06-18 and 2009-06-17).

The Bolivian Corpus Christi annual public holiday has been rumored to be on the way out in the past (2009-04-08 and 2007-06-06), but keeps on being reaffirmed every year (2018-05-30, 2016-05-25, 2015-06-02, 2014-06-17, 2013-05-29, 2012-06-05, 2011-06-06, 2010-01-29 and 2009-06-09).
