The Ethiopian House of People's Representatives has declared a national day of mourning on Monday, May 6, 2019, to honor former president Negasso Gidada.

The aforementioned announcement will not affect the list of expected annual non-working public holidays in Ethiopia in 2019, as announced, earlier this year (2019-01-18), by the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
