Ghana's Minister of the Interior, Ambrose Dery, has issued a statement indicating that Monday, August 12, 2019, would be a non-working public holiday in Ghana on the occasion of the 2019 Eidul-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice), and a statutory holiday to be observed as such, as the Eidul-Adha annual public holiday of Ghana falls on a Sunday in 2019.
The aforementioned declaration of Monday, August 12, 2019, as a non-working public holidays in Ghana on the occasion of the 2019 Eidul-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice), is in line with the dates set out in the announcement (2019-02-06) by the government of Ghana of its official list of the annual non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2019.
Recall that, last year (2018-09-19), the 2018 Eidul-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) public holiday of Ghana coincided with the August 21 Founders Day annual public holiday of Ghana.
