The Government of Gibraltar has issued the "Bank And Public Holidays Order 2019" (LN. 2019/217), in the Gazette notice 4631, which specifies the official list of annual Gibraltar bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Gibraltar for the upcoming calendar year 2020.
The aforementioned legislation ("In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 2(3) of the Banking and Financial Dealings Act and by section 58 of the Interpretation and General Clauses Act, and of all other enabling powers, the Government has made the following order", sets forth the bank holidays and public holidays for Gibraltar in the calendar year 2020, this time not departing from the changes to the rules concerning the Labour Day public holiday (2018-10-29, 2017-11-21, 2016-11-15, 2015-11-02, 2012-03-03), which were followed in recent years (2014-11-01, 2013-11-02 and 2012-10-28), but including a public holiday on May 8th, 2020, to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day (2019-09-28, 2019-09-25, 2019-09-10, 2019-06-13 and 2019-06-05).
