Indian Tamil Nadu Extends Diwali Public Holidays

The Government of India's state of Tamil Nadu has announced a one-off non-working public holiday in Tamil Nadu, on Monday, October 28, 2019, the day after the annual Diwali public holiday of Tamil Nadu.

The aforementioned announcement that India's state of Tamil Nadu had extended the date of the upcoming Diwali public holiday to include Monday, October 28, 2019, thus amends, again (2019-09-05, 2019-03-27 and 2019-01-08), the list of Tamil Nadu non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2019 (G.O Ms.No. 840 Dt: October 29, 2018 - Public Holidays under Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 for the State Government Offices and all Commercial Banks including Co-operative Banks in Tamil Nadu for the year 2019) as released late last year (2018-10-30).
