Malaysia Government Call Centre (MyGCC) has announced that Thursday, January 31, 2019, the date of the upcoming swearing-in ceremony of the newly-elected Agong, would not be a one-off non-working public holiday in Malaysia.

The date of the public holiday in Malaysia for the official birthday of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V had already been in the news many times last year (06-Sep-2018, 22-Aug-2017, 13-Jul-2017 and 29-Apr-2017).
