Mauritius' government has been under pressure to declare Monday, September 9, 2019, as a one-off non-working public holiday in Mauritius, on account of the visit of Pope Francis to the island.
If Monday, September 9, 2019, were to be declared as a one-off non-working public holiday in Mauritius, on account of the visit of Pope Francis, then it would amend the 2019 list of official non-working public holidays in Mauritius, as announced, last year (2018-05-26).
