The Bank of Mauritius has issued a communiqué announcing that Friday, November 1, 2019, and Thursday, November 7, 2019, would be bank holidays in Mauritius, on account of the public holidays for All Saints' Day and the General Election Day, respectively.

Earlier this month (2019-10-11), Mauritius' government had confirmed its earlier announcement that Sunday, October 27, 2019, would be the date of the upcoming non-working public holiday in Mauritius for Divali, and that Thursday, November 7, 2019, would be a one-off non-working public holiday in Mauritius on account of the upcoming legislative elections in Mauritius.

While that announcement of Sunday, October 27, 2019, as the date of the upcoming non-working public holiday in Mauritius for Divali, was in line with the 2019 list of official non-working public holidays in Mauritius, as announced, last year (2018-05-26), the announcement of Thursday, November 7, 2019, as a one-off non-working public holiday in Mauritius on account of the legislative elections, was not.
