The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the government of Myanmar has announced its annual list of the dates of the official Myanmar bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Myanmar for the upcoming calendar year 2020, taking into account last summer's amendments to the rules governing the public holidays on Myanmar.
The aforementioned list of the dates of the official Myanmar annual bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Myanmar for the upcoming calendar year 2020 includes the effects of the one-off (2017-03-10) and then annually extended (2017-03-14) reduction of the 10-day Thingyan and Burmese New Year public holidays in Myanmar, to 5 days, as well as the effect of last summer's decision by the government of Myanmar that "if Saturday and Sunday coincide with a holiday, it has been decided to set it as a transfer holiday" (2019-08-21).
