The government of Myanmar has released an additional extension to its previously-released list of the dates of the official Myanmar bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Myanmar for the calendar year 2019, by declaring a compensatory public holiday on Monday, October 28, 2019, as the annual Deepavali public holiday of Myanmar falls on a Sunday in 2019..

This past summer (2019-08-31), the government of Myanmar released an extension to its previously-released list of the dates of the official Myanmar bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Myanmar for the calendar year 2019, by adding compensatory public holidays for the weekends dates of the upcoming Thadingyut and Tazaungdaing public holidays.

The aforementioned extensions thus further amend the list of the dates of the official Myanmar annual bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Myanmar for the calendar year 2019, released last fall (2018-11-19), and which included the effects of the one-off (2017-03-10) and then annually extended (2017-03-14) reduction of the 10-day Thingyan and Burmese New Year public holidays in Myanmar, to 5 days.
