Nepalese Ghatasthapana Public Holiday September 29

The spokesperson of Nepal's Gandaki State government, and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Development, Ram Sharan Basnet, has announced that September 29, 2019, had been declared a non-working public holiday to celebrate Ghatasthapana, the first day of Dashain festival.

Over the years (2015-10-11, 2015-10-10, 2015-10-09, 2012-10-14, 2009-09-25), Ghatasthapana was sometimes declared a nationwide public holiday in Nepal, though not in recent years.
