Nigerian 2019-2020 Year-End Public Holidays

The Minister of Interior of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has announced that the Nigerian Government, had declared Wednesday, December 25, 2019, Thursday, December 26, 2019, and Wednesday, January 1, 2020, as non-working public holidays throughout Nigeria "for the Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year celebrations".

The aforementioned declaration of Wednesday, December 25, 2019, Thursday, December 26, 2019, and Wednesday, January 1, 2020, as non-working public holidays throughout Nigeria, is as expected and in line with past announcements (2018-12-19, 2017-12-20, 2016-12-23, 2015-12-30, 2015-12-22, 2015-12-17, 2014-12-19, 2013-12-20, 2012-12-17 and 2011-12-21), the main difference with past years being that, after 4 years of making regular public holidays announcements for Nigeria, Abdulrahman Dambazau was replaced as Minister of Interior of the Federal Government of Nigeria, by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
