Panama's Ministry of Labor and Labor Development (Mitradel) has issued a communique confirming that there would be no change o the scope of the 2019 anniversary of the founding of Panama City annual public holiday of Panama, despite its extension to a nationwide status, on account of 2019 being its 500th anniversary, had been mentioned by Panama's Vice-President, José Gabriel Carrizo.
Earlier this week (2019-08-05), we had reported that Panama's Vice-President of the Republic, José Gabriel Carrizo, was still be undecided as to whether to extend the scope of the upcoming, August 15, 500th anniversary of the founding of Panama City, to be observed nationwide.
As per the list of 2019 public holidays in Panama (2019-01-07), and as confirmed in today's aforementioned announcement, the August 15 anniversary of the founding of Panama City public holiday is limited to Panama City.
