Philippines President, Rodrigo Duterte, has declared Monday, June 24, 2019, as a non-working public holiday in the Philippines' capital city, Manila, to commemorate the city’s 448th Foundation Day.
The aforementioned declaration ("It is but fitting that the people of the City of Manila be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies") of a non-working public holiday in the Philippines on Monday, June 24, 2019, is in addition to the list of 2019 non-working public holidays in the Philippines, as set out in Proclamation No. 555, s. 2018, released this past summer (2018-08-17).
