The Philippines Commission on Elections (Comelec) has confirmed that the May 11, 2020, Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections, and traditionally expected public holiday in the Philippines, might be postponed.

Normally, the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections occur every 3 years, and are often accompanied by the declaration of a one-off public holiday in the Philippines (2018-05-02, 2013-10-04, 2013-10-01, 2010-10-26, 2010-10-07, 2010-10-03, and 2007-10-17).

The 2018 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections were supposed to be held in late 2016, but were twice postponed, once to 2017 and a second time to 2018.
