The governor of Puerto Rico, Wanda Vázquez Garced, has declared the Friday after the upcoming Thanksgiving public holiday of Puerto Rico, November 29, 2019, as a one-off non-working public sector holiday ("En virtud de las facultades delegadas por el Código Politico de Puerto Rico y la Ley de Cumplimiento con el Plan Fiscal, el proposito de esta Ord en Ejecutiva es conceder el viernes, 29 de noviembre de 2019, como dia de fiesta, sin cargo a ninguna licencia.").

The aforementioned declaration of Friday, November 29, 2019, as a one-off non-working public sector holiday, thus amends the official list of 2019 public holidays in Puerto Rico, as released by the public sector's human resources department of the government of Puerto Rico (OATRH), in its annual "Memorando Especial 21-2018" of last year (2018-07-19).
