Thailand 2019 Royal Ploughing Ceremony Public Holiday

The government of Thailand has announced the date of the 2019 Royal Ploughing Ceremony annual non-working public holiday.

As per the aforementioned announcement, the 2018 Royal Ploughing Ceremony non-working public holiday will be observed on Thursday, May 9, 2019.

After 7 consecutive year (05-Jun-2017, 14-Aug-2016, 03-Nov-2015, 08-Dec-2014, 26-Dec-2013, 30-Nov-2012 and 08-Dec-2011) when the Royal Ploughing Ceremony public holiday was announced well in advance, the government of Thailand, perhaps because of last year's mishap (18-Nov-2017), seems to have gone back to its previous habit of declaring the Royal Ploughing Ceremony public holiday a few weeks before the actual event.
