Following today's Tahi Cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister’s Office announced that Thailand's Cabinet had declared Monday, December 30, 2019, as a one-off additional public holiday in Thailand, to link the preceding weekend with the annual December 31 and January 1 public holidays of Thailand.

The aforementioned announcement declaring Monday, December 30, 2019, as a one-off non-working public holiday, thus further extends (2019-10-15, 2019-05-14, 2019-02-13, 2019-01-30) the previously-released list of 2019 public holidays in Thailand (2018-09-23).

The decision applies to both government offices and the private sectors.

As for banks, financial institutions and private firms, the Bank of Thailand (BOT) has not yet decided whether to observe the additional public holiday of December 30, 2019, declared earlier today.
