At a recent session of the Vietnamese People 's Committee, the director of Vietnam's Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), Ha Tat Thang, shared his views as to the 2020 Tet Nguyên dán lunar new year of Vietnam public holidays, and his inclination to base the 2020 Tet public holidays of Vietnam "on the common spirit of the Labor Law".
As per today's session comments by Ha Tat Thang, it would seem that MOLISA will recommend not to engage in weekday and weekend swapping around Tet 2020, as happened in past years (2017-12-15 and 2016-11-21), "to limit the over-break in the first days of the lunar year".
The 2 options that will likely be proposed before the next discussion, in the National Assembly session, in October 2019, would be either to start the 2020 Tet public holidays of Vietname one day or 2 days before the Tet New Year date.
