Bahrain's Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, has issued a circular stipulating as official non-working public holidays in Bahrain for the upcoming 2020 Eid Al-Fitr (End of Ramadan), the date of the Eid Al-Fitr (Shawwal 1st) as well as that of the 2 days that follow.

As per the aforementioned announcement, "If any of the three Eid days coincides with an official holiday, an extra day will be given in lieu", as was the case some past years (2018-06-13, 2016-07-04, 2015-07-15, 2013-08-06 and 2012-08-15), though not all (2019-06-02, 2017-06-21, 2014-07-25), and most likely not this year, as the 2 likely dates for the Eid al-Fitr are Sunday, May 24, 2020, or Monday, May 25, 2020, both dates not occurring during the Bahrain weekend (2006-08-02).
