Bangladesh Extends Coronavirus Public Holidays Until May 30

Bangladesh' Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has decided to extend the current coronavirus public holidays until May 30, 2020, for both the public and private sectors.
In March (2020-03-23), the government of Bangladesh initially declared non-working public holidays from March 26 to April 4, 2020, for both the public and private sectors, as part of its measures to slow the spread of the Covid19 virus, thus amending the announced list of non-working public holidays in Bangladesh in 2020, which was released last fall by the Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh (2019-11-25 and 2019-10-29).
The initially announced period of public holidays in Bangladesh was then extended until April 14, 2020 (2020-04-03), then until April 25, 2020 (2020-04-10), then until May 6 (2020-04-23), and most recently until May 16 (2020-05-02).
