Bolivian Public Holidays February 24-25

Bolivia's Minister of Labour has issued a communiqué announcing that Monday and Tuesday, February 24-25, 2020, would be observed as official non-working public holidays throughout Bolivia to on account of the upcoming Carnival ("conforme dispone el decreto supremo Nº 2750 de 1 de mayo de 2016, se constituye feriado nacional, los días lunes 24 y martes 25").

As usual (2018-02-09, 2017-02-24, 2017-01-06, 2016-10-26, 2016-08-02, 2016-05-25, 2016-01-14, 2015-01-15, 2013-01-21, 2012-01-18, 2012-01-05 and 2011-01-13), the aforementioned communiqué specifies that the upcoming February 24-25, 2020, official non-working public holidays throughout Bolivia apply to all sectors of the economy.

In addition, Friday, February 21, 2020, will be a continuous day, to enable employees to leave work earlier ("Con motivo de preservar las costumbres religiosas, culturales, del tradicional carnaval"... "dispone para el día viernes 21 de febrero de la presente gestión jornada continua de trabajo de horas 8:00 a 16:00").
