Following this past weekend's resounding Constitutional Plebiscite approve victory, the Chilean parliamentarians, including Pablo Vidal (RD) and Vlado Mirosevic (Liberal Party), amongst others, have announced that they would introduce a bill to declare October 25, as a new annual public holiday in Chile ("Together with Vlado Mirosevic, and several others, we will present a Bill to declare every October 25 as National Day of Democracy").

The date of October 25, 2020, had been confirmed as a one-off public holiday, earlier this month (2020-10-01), thus further amending (2019-09-22) the list of 2020 public holidays in Chile, as it had been announced, by Chile's Ministro Secretario General de Gobierno, jointly with Chile's Ministerio del Trabajo y Previsión Social (2018-08-05).
